Derk Molijn

Derk Molijn is project leader within the innovation team of Dutch public broadcaster NTR. Here, research is conducted into new themes, technologies and content forms that attract both existing and new audiences. In recent years, NTR worked on projects with completely new communities, such as 3opTwitch and Podwalks. The Podwalks, a concept in which GPS-controlled audio tours are offered along physical locations in the Netherlands, have led to an enthusiastic group of users who like to get in touch with each other. To facilitate this still dormant community, NTR investigated whether PubHubs could be a suitable platform for this. With the development of new Podwalks in the coming years, NTR hopes to expand this so-called 'PodwalkHub' even further.
