Nastia Cistakova

Nastia Cistakova is an artist and illustrator who dips her socially critical work in a sauce of misery and absurdity. Previously, she created a video game about a potato experiencing a quarter-life crisis, paintings depicting romantic spam emails, and video art featuring real fake animals, and she draws extensively for publications such as De Correspondent and De Volkskrant. Her first illustrated children's book, 'Soctopus', co-created with author Jowi Schmitz, was also released under the publisher Uitgeverij Volt.
