Gijs Ockeloen
Managing Partner at Reframing Academy
Gijs Ockeloen is a design introspector interested in socio-cultural implications of technology. He is co-owner of the Amsterdam based innovation consultancy Reframing Studio. He was born in 1957 and educated at Delft University (faculty of Industrial Design). He spent a semester at the Ohio State University to study Semantic Applications in Product Design with professor Reinhard Butter.
He joined Philips Design in 1986 to gain valuable experience in designing medical equipment and industrial electronics. His designs marked a new approach in Philips medical equipment design were widely published and won numerous awards.
