In this closing talk, Eli Pariser, author of ‘The Filter Bubble’ and cofounder of New_ Public, will explain why he believes the future of democracy will be invented in digital spaces and through the leadership of ‘community stewards’. He will discuss how this belief informs the work of New_Public and its Community Lab.

About the speaker:
Eli Pariser, author of the bestseller 'The Filter Bubble', is a global authority on digital ethics and online filter bubbles. Pariser aims to put technology and media at the service of democracy. He is currently co-director of New_ Public, a non-profit organisation dedicated to building thriving digital public spaces.
