In this workshop we invite you to rapidly craft the data commons. Commons are shared resources, managed by a community. There are different ideas and representations about what the commons should be, but this often remains abstract. During this workshop we make the commons physical, leaving electronic boxes and screens aside. We’ll be using basic materials like paper, plastic and toilet rolls to create a representation of the commons. This workshop is for people who are unfamiliar with the concept of the commons, but also for people who think they know what the commons are. The results will be on show at the expo and will thus make a talking point for the networking drinks. Come with your craft skills and make the commons tangible!
