Erik Slingerland

Researcher Process Innovation and Information Systems at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences

Erik Slingerland works as a researcher at the lectorate Process Innovation and Information Systems at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. In recent years, he received his bachelor's degree in public administration and his master's degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence cum laude at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Within his research, he is working on ethics and digitalisation in the public domain. Here, Erik is both involved in developing Responsible AI systems, as well as researching ethical implications of digital applications.

Currently, as part of his Professional Doctorate, Erik is researching public values in digitalisation. His goal is to provide practical tools to understand the ethical tensions in software and contribute to developing software that meets our public values.
