Evita de Roode

Evita de Roode is a moderator, presenter and lectures at the Academy of Arts. She moves across the stage like a breath of fresh air. Energetic, sharp and with a personal touch that makes people lean in. With a background in theatre, music, film and dance, she crosses disciplines with ease. Diversity, inclusion, emancipation, are the themes she calls home. A natural connector, she finds the space between opposites and dares to ask the questions others leave unasked, the kind that lead somewhere unexpected. On stage she moves seamlessly between audience and speaker, creating room for genuine exchange. That same instinct, for openness, for the unfiltered conversation, for giving others the floor, makes her a natural fit for an evening about reclaiming public space in the digital age.
