Data commons are data shared within a community to serve a particular shared purpose. Such purposes can be as diverse as diminishing energy use, facilitating biomedical research, aiding city planning, or increasing traffic safety. During this workshop we will explore what these commons could look like with participants. First, Marjolein Bot from the Amsterdam Economic Board will provide a short introduction describing what the commons are. After the short lecture, we will then begin a scenario workshop during which attendees will look at examples of commons in health, agriculture and energy and explore their impacts. Interested in learning more? Come help us shape the commons!
