Ibou Ndong

Ibou Ndong hails from Dakar, Senegal, and grew up in the vibrant, artistic neighborhood of MĂ©dina. Inspired by a friend who played the djembe, Ibou began playing the instrument himself, finding immense enthusiasm and energy in the music. His passion led him to the Center Culturelle Blaise Senghor, where he joined the ballet, and later became part of the Asico group and various reggae bands.
Since moving to the Netherlands in 2015, Ibou has been active in the local music scene, participating in jam sessions and festivals across the Netherlands and Belgium. He enjoys working with people of all ages, sharing what he describes as the 'warmth of Africa' to his new home.
