Sophie Bloemen

Sophie is a political economist and co-founder and director of Commons Network, a collaboratory for the new economy and just transition based in Amsterdam. She works at the intersection of democratic economy, digital commons, post-growth, and the role of governments. Her focus includes democratic and resilient digital ecosystems, and in this context, she collaborates with policymakers, academics, and institutions at the local, national, and European levels. Recently, together with colleagues, she published the policy roadmap Towards a Sovereign and Resilient Digital Ecosystem.
