Rapidly emerging technologies such as quantum technology, general artificial intelligence and extended reality, have the potential to have a huge impact on our daily lives and our society. Therefore, it is vital to maintain agency and control over the development of these new technologies, and to create ethical and societal guidelines.
In this session, we engage in conversation about the societal dilemmas these technologies pose, and how we can actively engage society. Good practices on how to safeguard public values in these new technologies will be presented and discussed.
