Eva Oosterlaken
Designer and researcher at Futurall | Researcher at Hogeschool van Amsterdam
Eva Oosterlaken (she/her) is a Dutch-American designer and researcher. She is creative lead at Futurall, which she founded together with UK-based designer and foresight practitioner Finn Strivens in 2020. Their work combines at-scale public engagement with values-based, collective reimagining for systems change. While playful in form and interaction, their work looks to challenge dominant narratives and equip people with the tools to be agents of change. Futurall have partnered with organisations such as Nesta, The Fitzwilliam Museum, The Design Museum, The European Commission, and the Dutch Government on projects that connect designed experiences to policy influencing and social change.
Since 2024, Eva has been active in the Civic Interaction Design department at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences as a design researcher on the topic of civic social media. Eva has a background in user experience design and research. She holds a double master’s degree in Global Innovation Design from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London (2020), and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering from the Delft University of Technology (2017).
