Get Your Hands Dirty with Civic Social Media

Workshop - Design your own civic social media platform based on public values

June 13 16:15 - 17:10 @
Expo

Language: Dutch.

Do you want to start designing responsible, safe, and sovereign social media? In this hands-on session, you will learn how to use the Designing for Civic Social Media toolkit: six community archetypes and seven design dimensions that support the creation of digital platforms based on public values. Choose an archetype, discuss design choices, and translate them into concrete design decisions for your community.

The Designing for Civic Social Media toolkit is one of the outcomes of a collaboration between the Civic Interaction Design research group at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, PubHubs, PublicSpaces, the City of Amsterdam, and the Universities of Nijmegen and Utrecht, focused on developing UX design and use cases for the community platform PubHubs.

This research has been made possible thanks to financial support from the SIDN Fund. More information about the project can be found here: civicixdproject.com/civicsocialmedia
