Björn Wijers

Björn Wijers (~336ppm), under the name Burobjorn.nl, has been helping organisations realise ideas and wishes with Open Source software development, Open Standards and Interaction Design for over 15 years. In doing so, he strives for affordable, secure, accessible, user-friendly, privacy-friendly, sovereign and sustainable solutions. Björn has been championing fairer copyright and more privacy awareness for some time. Björn strives to put public values into practice, not only in his work but also as an unpaid board member of Vereniging Open Nederland, NLUUG and as Chapter Lead of Creative Commons Netherlands. 

At PublicSpaces, Björn has the role of 'Chief Community'. In this role, his responsibilities include among others “De Digitale Spoelkeuken” approach, supporting the PublicSpaces partners, maintaining contacts inside & outside the PublicSpaces network and co-programming the PublicSpaces conference.
